Sheriff J.C. Bittick of The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has advised WKEU news that his Criminal Investigation Division is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and vehicle at the attached photos above.

On January 26, 2016, pictured suspect, approximately 16-22 years of age, burglarized a vehicle at a convenience store in the Rumble Road area of Monroe County near Forsyth. The victim reported that her purse containing financial transaction cards was stolen.  Subsequent investigation into this incident revealed that the suspect traveled from the Rumble Road area and went to multiple locations and utilized the victim’s stolen financial transaction cards near the Bass Road area of Bibb County, Georgia.

The suspect was described as being light skinned and having acne scars. A sales clerk revealed that the suspect provided an ID with a date of birth indicating that he was 20 years old. The clerk could not remember the suspect’s name. Based on surveillance footage, it is believed that the suspect is a light skinned black male or a mixed race male approximately 16-22 years of age. The suspect was further described as being approximately 5’8” to 5’9” and approximately 150-170 lbs. He was also described as having a light amount of facial hair. The suspect was wearing very distinctive shoes during the commission of the crimes.

It is believed that the suspect vehicle may be a newer model Hyundai Sonata or similar type vehicle.
