A Griffin man accused of vehicular homicide has been arrested for the third time in just over half a year after failing to appear for a bond revocation hearing in Henry County Court this week. In October 2016, 45-year old Stephen Pope, was charged with first degree vehicular homicide after striking Laura Fisher, age 51 of Henry County. Police say he was driving under the influence of drugs and failed to maintain his lane in the incident. Pope was shortly released on a $35,000 provisional bond, and advised not to operate a motor vehicle. Then, this spring, he was again arrested once again for driving under the influence of drugs in Coweta County and later released. A bond revocation hearing was then scheduled in Henry County court this week, but Pope failed to appear. He was arrested on Tuesday and will remain in jail until the rescheduled hearing set for May 23.
