A Fayetteville woman has been charged with the murder of her 2 month-old
infant son. The State Autopsy results has indicated according to local
authorities that the infant died of methamphetamine intoxication.

Poulson age 25 was charged with one count of felony murder, two counts of
cruelty to children and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a
minor in relation to the incident that occurred in March. .
A Fayetteville Police representative indicated that Poulson was charged
after being arrested on June 10 for possession of narcotics related to a
June 2 suicide attempt.
Earlier in the year on March 7 the Fayetteville Police Department
received a 911 call indicating that Poulson's 2 month-old infant son was not
breathing. There was suspicion in the case following an investigation of the
death of the child. The autopsy was performed by the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation along with toxicology tests. The final results on the
toxicology repot indicated death by methamphetamine intoxication.
The investigation into the death of the infant revealed that Poulson took
methamphetamine while actively breastfeeding her 2 month-old baby, that
resulted in the death of the baby. The charges were made on Wednesday
morning.
Poulson also faces a second charge of cruelty to children and
contributing to the delinquency of a minor in relation to an incident in
which she had shown her 14 year-old sister how to use illegal drugs
according to the Fayette Citizen News.
Investigators in the case said that on March 5 Poulson furnished her
sister with Roxycodone and methamphetamine and gave her instructions on how
to use and ingest the drugs.
Poulson was already in jail in connection with a June 2 suicide attempt
at her home using a combination of of several narcotics.
