County Commission Meeting Canceled

The Board of Commissioners of Spalding County was to have convened Monday evening at the courthouse annex for the first of its two scheduled August meetings but the session had to be canceled due to a lack of a quorum.

Due to unspecified illnesses, only vice-chair James Dutton and commissioner Rita Johnson were present.

The next scheduled meeting of the Spalding County Commission is set for Monday, August 16 although the possibility exists that the panel could conduct a special called meeting prior to that date.
